Steel Battalion
Controller Mod

RUMBLE |
Before closing everything up, give the circuit a test run. If you run in to trouble, check the control circuit. Make sure it matches the schematic exactly. Is the transistor backwards? Are the IC pins connected to the proper lines? If that doesn't work, trace every line back to it's source and relate it to the schematic. Again, a multimeter is invaluable in these situations. If the issue is not found there, test the voltages at different soldering joints. Xbox 5VDC should always be around (you guessed it) +5VDC. Ground is 0 at all times. LED V+ should be 0 when the led is off, and around +2.5VDC(ish) when lit solid. During actual game play the LED V+ will vary. Hold down the radio button for testing. Motor 5VDC input should be 0 when off and +5VDC when rumbling. This will vary with the LED V+. Again, hold the radio button when testing. If any of these are not correct, check and recheck your work until the issue is found. Frequently consult the schematics, diagrams and images.
If all is well, congratulations! You have completed the Steel Battalion Rumble
